Ollie
Redirected from HowTo:Ollie
History: The Ollie originally started out as an aerial skateboarding trick, invented by Alan Gelfand in 1976. The Ollie was later adapted to flat ground by Rodney Mullen, without this man modern street skating wouldn't exist. The Ollie serves as a basis for many other skateboarding tricks, such as the heelflip, kickflip etc.

Added by WikiaBotDefinition: The ollie is a skateboarding trick where the skateboarder pops the skateboard into the air. The effect is the skateboarder jumping with the skateboard stuck to his or her feet.
The Ollie is the most important trick you want to learn if you want to be a successful skater.
- First thing you need to do is put you back foot on the tail of the board.
- Put your front foot below the bolts closest to the nose.
- Bend down and have your hands parallel to the feet on the board, push down on the tail (a.k.a popping) and slide your front foot up, don't forget when you are in mid air, you need to shift you weight from the back, to the front.
- Try and keep your back straight and lean to the front.
- If you are just starting skating, this trick can be very frustrating sometimes, so it may takes some time.
